Winter '26 Class Submissions

Please fill out this form to submit your class ideas. Fill in the form the best you can, even if you are unsure of all the details of a class you want to offer at this time. Adjustments can be made before the schedule is released to the community. A board member will reach out to you to confirm your class and time slot if selected for the Winter schedule before the schedule is released.

Winter Classes will run for 7 weeks, beginning on 1/12 and ending on 3/9, with 1/19 (MLK Jr. Day) and 2/16 (Presidents Day) being observed. It is the teacher's responsibility to find a substitute for their class if they are going to be absent. Your TA is a great first ask! If they are unavailable, we can assist you in finding a substitute. If a class is cancelled repeatedly/permanently, teachers will have their payment adjusted to reflect that. Details will be included in the teaching contract prior to class start.

Class Details

If you are undecided on an official class name, enter the class type and age group, such as: "Art – Age 5-7".
What will students do in your class? What are the basic goals? Will there be projects, worksheets, hands on learning, experiments, group discussion, group activities, etc. Are there any specific expectations of students? The ability to read, write, sit still for long periods? The more details the better to help parents decide if your class is a good fit for their child. Please keep the description to one paragraph. Tips: Make it sound as fun as possible!

In general, the recommended maximum is 12, but we understand some classes depending on activity, age, teaching experience can accommodate more. Example: I have 2 kids. I want my class maximum to be 12 kids. I would put my maximum as 10 + 2 = 12 in the box above (registrations + my kids = my maximum for the class).
Class Fee:
This fee is collected by DICE from families to reserve their space in the class. Prices listed are to show the amount of the fee that will go toward paying for building space ($11) and the remaining amount that will go to teachers. This fee does not include materials which is charged and collected separately by each teacher for their individual class. As a parent-led, volunteer organization, we aim to make classes as affordable as possible, but also want to attract and compensate skilled instructors. Please choose from our affordable options or provide a class fee of your choice by choosing Other.
Materials Fee
This is a one-time fee, paid by each student directly to the instructor, typically on the first day of class. This amount should be used for consumables needed to run the class.
